Obituary for Dolores Waltz

Dolores Waltz passed away peacefully on 02/03/2019; Dolores was a lifelong resident of the Presston area of Stowe Township. Dolores was never married but enjoyed caring for many of the children in Presston; including her nieces and nephews. She would go pick blackberries “down the tracks” for her mother to make pie. She went on many vacations with her brothers, sisters, and their families – she loved to travel to the DC area to visit her brother Joe and his family, she also would spend the summer in the Meadville, Pennsylvania area with her brother Albert, sister Etta Fay and their families, she even traveled to California to visit her nephew Archie; while there she was locked up in Alcatraz wearing prison stripes and all! Dolores also loved to go to county concerts at The Pepsi Cola Roadhouse and was there when her father was honored as a Spanish American War veteran a few years back during the Soldier’s Salute segment.

Dolores was a special caregiver and was a “babysitter” to 100s of children over the years – two of the families that meant so much to her were the DiMichele children and the Roman Girls from Presston – she always joked with the DiMichele children about going to the “Beer Garden” when their parents got home.
