Age 93, of Stowe Township, Peacefully went to join her husband on Saturday, September 28th, 2019. Beloved wife of the late James. Loving mother of Mary Lynn (Fred) Kitner and Nancy (David) Derkacz
Grandmother of Christopher (Missy) Kitner, Melissa (Nathan) Graff, Brandon (Caroline) Derkacz, and Casey (fiance'e, Danielle) Derkacz. Great grandmother of Lillian, Ian, Max, Ella and the late Simon. Sister of the late John Yankowski. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Mary's hospitality warmed people's hearts and her pierogies and halupkies were enjoyed by many. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to either Holy Assumption of St. Mary Orthodox Church or the Monastery of the Transfiguration in Ellwood City. Family and Friends are welcome on Monday, September 30th, 2019, 2:00 pm-8:00 pm at Valerian F. Szal Funeral Home, Inc. 238 Helen Street McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania 15136. Parastas will be held on Monday at 6:00 pm. A Trisagion Service will begin on Tuesday, October 1st, 2019 at 9:30 am at the funeral home followed by a Requiem Service at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church at 10:00am.
